The effects of macro- and microfertilizers, soil reaction and soil fertility on the yields and quality of long-fibre flax in rotation were studied. The paper generalizes lasting data (1982 - 1991) on the effect of dressing conditions on the yields and quality of long-fibre flax in rotation depending on soil fertility level and soil liming. The doses of the main fertilizer N₄₅P₉₀K₁₂₀ on the background P₂O₅ – 100 - 130, K₂O – 110 - 140 mg/kg soil, pH salty – 5.0 - 5.4 and N₃₀P₆₀K₉₀ on more fertile soil with content P₂O₅ up to 280 - 300, K₂O – 240 - 280 and pH salty 6.0 - 6.2, were considered more effective for flax according to qualitative and quantitative traits. The negative effect of full lime doses is smoothed over hy application zinc containing fertilizers. It was found out that local fertilizer application is an essencial element of power saving and nature protecting fertilizeration system. In comparison with broadcasting its introduction in farm production will give the possibility to decrease the fertilizer requirements by more than 30% and to increase power output by 27 - 44% per 1 ha.
