The authors carried out investigations order to establish a characteristic of Taenia saginata invasions in men and cattle. The experiments performed in that line proved that investations with a larval form and a mature form of T. saginata do not occur jointly in the same seats. The chain of infestation is more indirect and its detection is a much more complicated problem, above infestation not being caused by a close contact of the animal with the man stricken. The characteristic of infestations with T. saginata in the Province of Cracow in 1956-1961 with due regard for the age, sex and environment of persons infestated is given in tables 1, 2 and 3. The correlation of infection in cattle and men is illustrated by table No 4 and cartogram enclosed.
