The paper presents the results of geocomplex delimitation referring to four terrain types: loess, gypsum, sand and loam. The boundaries of the landscape units were determined based on different types of cartographic materials. As a source of information about the base the geological and soil agricultural maps were used. Two types of slopes and soil texture classification were taken into account. Six alternatives of land division into landscape units were obtained. In case of terrains with complicated geology the results indicated a strong interdependence between the cartographic material used and the spatial pattern of the geocomplexes. For the areas with slightly differentiated geology the choice of the information source should depend on the landscape function or potential valorized. The obtained results are important for the correctness of the landscape assessment within geocomplexes.
