The paper presents the structure and tendencies of budget support in Belarusian agriculture. There are presented basic data about level of financial support of agriculture and share of budget payments in the whole national economy. Basing on data gained from Main Statistical Bureau in Minsk the authors have shown that direct payments to one ha of arable land in Belarus has been increasing for several lat years and has reached 226 USA dollars per 1 ha. It is also worthy to notice that main support programs of rural areas development are mapped on such UE programs. Nowadays budget support for agriculture is 9% of total expenditures of national budget and is the biggest in the region (Commonwealth of Independent States – former Soviet states) and due to economic crisis and domestic problems will be probably slowly decreased in next years.
