Prerequisites pertaining to the development of forest management and wood-working industry in the Czech Republic

The economic crisis of the advanced world economies is further reflected in all national economic sectors of each country. Economic development that will affect the forestry and woodworking complex is formulated according to a development analysis of selected world indices and indicators. The analysis is chiefly concerned with the following indices and indicators: Dow Jones Industrial Average Index, S&P Homebuilders Index, Chicago Mercantile Exchange random length lumber contract prices, and prices of selected assortments of rough timber in the Czech Republic. The paper further touches on selected aspects of the global context of the defined prerequisites for the development of forest management and woodworking industry.
