In this article authors present results of the faunistic study about species diversity of true-bugs (Hemiptera: Heteropetra) of the Knyszyn Forest. Surveys were conducted on 61 localities in the years 2016-2023. During the eight years of research 987 specimens of terrestrial Heteroptera, representing 21 families and 149 species, have been collected. Among them 42 species are new to the zoogegraphical region – Podlasie. Some of the species collected here, are very rare in Poland or have never been reported from the north-eastern part of Poland: e.g. Aradus obtectus, Elasmostethus minor, Heterocordylus tibialis, Isometopus intrusus, Loricula distinguenda, L. pselaphiformis and Polymerus holosericeus. The paper also summarises the state of knowledge on Heteroptera of Puszcza Knyszynska. Taking into account own and literature data, the list of terrestrial true-bug includes a total of 159 species, which constitutes about 20% of Heteroptera in Poland.
