W latach 2006-2008 w Pawłowicach k. Wrocławia przeprowadzono badania nad wpływem zróżnicowanej ilości wysiewu na wysokość plonu odmian i rodów owsa. Doświadczenia zakładano w układzie "split- plot", uwzględniając dwa czynniki zmienne, którymi w kolejności były: I. rody i odmiany owsa siewnego: oplewione - STH 7105, STH 7205 i Krezus oraz nagoziarniste - STH 7505 i Polar; II. liczba wysianych na 1 m2 ziaren: 300, 400 i 500. W porównaniu z odmianą Kre¬zus nagoziarnisty, karłowy ród STH 7505 wykształcił o 7,6% więcej ziaren w wiesze, które miały niższą o 28% masę 1 000 ziaren i o 16,4% masę ziaren z wiechy. Największą masę 1000 ziaren miał oplewiony, karłowy ród STH 7205. Wzrost ilości wysiewu powodował zmniejszenie warto¬ści liczbowych elementów struktury plonu i zwiększał procentowy udział słomy. W odniesieniu do plonów ziarna wykazano współdziałanie badanych genotypów z liczbą wysianych ziaren. W porównaniu z odmianą Krezus niższe plony ziarna uzyskano z genotypu STH 7105 o 16%, STH 7505 o 43% i Polar o 61%, a wyższe o 8% z STH 7205.

In 2006-2008 in Pawłowice near Wrocław, Poland, the experiments were conducted to in¬vestigate the effect of various sowing rates on yielding of oat cultivars and forms. The split-plot experiments were set for two following variable factors: I - hulled oat strains and cultivars STH 7105, STH 7205 and Krezus, and naked oat strains STH 7505 and Polar; II number of grains sown per 1 m2: 300, 400 and 500. Compared to the results obtained with Krezus, naked, dwarf strain STH 7505 produced 7.6% more grains in a panicle. At the same time STH 7050 grain had by 28% lower 1000-grain weight and by 16.4% lower grain weight in a panicle than Krezus. The highest 1000-grain weight was obtained with the hulled dwarf oat strain - STH 7205. The increased sowing rate lowered the number values of the elements of the yield but caused a higher percentage of straw. It was observed that a relationship exists between the investigated genotypes and the sowing rate. The sowing rate of 400 grains per 1 m2 was sufficient for hulled strains and Polar cultivar, while Krezus required a sowing rate of 500 grains per 1 m2. A higher sowing rate did not increase the yield of the naked strain STH 7505. STH 7105, STH 7505 and Polar produced lower yields than Krezus by 16%, 43% and 61%, respectively, while, STH 7205 had a higher yield by 8% than Krezus.
