"Crown closure" colloquially named a bottle cap or simply a cap is one of the most popular closures for bottles. Its purpose is to protect the bottle contents and often it is used to close bottles with carbonated soft drinks or beer. It assures the keeping quality of the beverage and makes the most appropriate protection against its spilling out. The closure was invented at the end of the 19th century starting by the same the new history of the filling branch. Modern caps are made from a steel sheet coated inside with the sealing compound made of plastics preventing the liquid contents from spilling out. The colour printing containing the product name with the manufacturer’s logo is often placed on the outer side of the crown closure.
