On the basis of own studies and conclusions from literature the mistakes in technology of cattle - especially dairy cows - rearing were discussed. Against the background of technical and technological irregularities the important related zootechnical conditions were pointed out. The conditions were ranged according to criterion of six - evaluated as the most important - factors in cattle raising: human, technical, technological, economical, biological and environmental one. The requirements connected with biological factor were particularly emphasized, as they show the most significant effect on effectiveness of dairy cattle raising. Verification of actually valid standards and recommendations was suggested in view of their correction on the basis of scientific results and practical experience at home and abroad (especially in EU countries).
