New distributional records of seven genera and fifteen species of Caenoscelini and Cryptophagini in Poland are presented. Caenoscelis sibirica, C. subdeplanata and Sternodea baudii are among the most interesting cryptophagids recently found in new localities and previously reported from 1-2 sites in Poland only. Remarks concerning identification of Caenoscelis species are given, and the aedeagi of C. sibirica and C. ferruginea are illustrated.
Thirty-nine weevil species are listed from the Świętokrzyskie Mountains for the first time, raising the total number of Curculionoidea (except Scolytinae) known to occur in this region of Poland to 438. New records concern species from the families Anthribidae (1), Apionidae (4) and Curculionidae (34). Several species are commented upon, providing also a critical discussion on host associations of invasive Lignyodes bischoffi in Poland, apparently restricted to American ash species and not extended to native Fraxinus excelsior.
The paper presents new data on the occurrence of three Tetratomidae and fifteen Melandryidae species in Radom, central Poland, and its environs.
Research on Cholevinae (Coleoptera: Leiodidae) of upland mixed fir forest in the Świętokrzyski National Park is presented. In 2008 twelve species from the area were revealed five of them were recorded for the first time from the park, and four are new to the Świętokrzyskie Mts. Seasonal patterns of abundance are shown for selected species.
