In his article, the author focuses on an analysis of market relationships in the region scale through the prism of cooperation and concentration. He also emphasises the regional nature as a main orientation for the position of small and medium enterprises being strengthened in the economy of the region. He discusses the essence and scope of cooperative relationships in the region, the role of cooperation in fulfilment of the National Development Plan, and its relations with the developmental directions accepted by the European Union; then he focuses his attention on regional competition and information as the factors that reinforce the cooperative trends in the regional markets.
