This study examined courses of sorption and of leaching with distilled water of ions Fe²⁺, Fe³⁺, and Mn²⁺ in non-deoxidized and unoxygenated loessial soil material. The sorption was measured using a dynamic method. ODR and Eh were measured as indices of soil oxygenation. It was found that unoxygenation of loessial soil material increases the sorption of ions Fe²⁺, Fe³⁺, and Mn²⁺ in samples of pH 4.8, while in samples having pH 6.5 an increased sorption was only found for Fe³⁺ ions.
Polyphosphate derivatives of krili chitin and krili chitosan obtained with the use of a mixture of sodium polyphosphates and polyphosphoric acid are virtually m solution of pH ca. 4.0. At pH 3.7 iron ions are adsorbed in the highest adsorption yields, amounting for the polyphosphate of chitin and chitosan to 95% and 65%, respectively. Other bivalent ions (Cu+2, Pb+2, Cd+2) are distinctly adsorbed only by chitosan polyphosphate in an adsorption yield of 45-50%. The presence of up to 15% of ethanol in the medium does not reduce adsorption of all these cations. Zn+2 ions fail to be adsorbed on both carriers. Washing of carriers with 0.1 mol/L HCl results in complete release of the adsorbed ions. Industrial filter-paper sheets impregnated with chitosan polyphosphate were applied in laboratory tests for filtration of beer as well as of apple juice and apple wine, and "fortified" with Zn+2, Cu+2, Fe+2, Pb+2and Cd+2 ions.
