The transformations in trade in Poland over the past dozen or so years have led to creation of an opportunity to increase the choice by the Polish consumer of the place of foods sales; however, the results of both control actions and surveys carried out among consumers confirm occurrence of irregularities in the place of foods sales. This evidences the need to intensify the control actions in this respect, and to implement by trade outlets the standards ensuring a greater foods safety in order to better protect the consumer in the market for foods.
