The work purpose: To develop, scientifically to prove and introduce medical-organizational model of protection of reproductive health of patients with inflammatory diseases of genitals. Materials and methods. The female population of fertile age with inflammatory diseases of the genitals, living in the Grodno area per 1954–2008 is studied. The system approach is used, following methods were applied: sanitary-statistical, economic-mathematical, expert estimations, sociological, historical, organizational experiment, modelling and forecasting. Results. On the basis of the carried out complex socially-hygienic research including studying of volumes and quality of medical aid, security of obstetric-gynecologic service material, financial and personnel resources, introductions of new organizational, medical and information technologies, studying of the reproductive equipments of women of fertile age and prospects of realisation by them of reproductive function, and also an expert estimation of the importance of the problems bound to disturbances in reproductive system, develop medical-organizational model of protection of reproductive health of women with inflammatory diseases of the genitals, based on state policy realisation in public health services. Model actions are realised in three stages: pregravidal improvement; medical maintenance in pregnancy; The organisation of medical aid to women in childbirth and newborns, and also aftertreatment after a failure of pregnancy and sorts.

Roadside larch trees (Larix Mill.) and its female generative organs as a biomonitor of air pollution

The disturbances in the morphology and anatomical structure of female generative organs were investigated in two species of roadside larch trees Larix decidua Mill., L. decidua subsp. polonica, and L. kaempferi (Lamb.) Carr., within the administrative boundaries of the city of Lublin. The irregularities of female cones appear more often at the juvenile stage of their development. Completely dried cones or cones with partially dried scales were observed on the L. decidua trees growing in a more polluted environment (in comparison with the place of growing of control trees). Among the more developmentally advanced cones, partially dried and completely deformed or bent female generative organs with a disturbed anatomical structure were visible. Peroxidase activity was significant higher in L. decidua subsp. polonica located near the street with heavy traffic. The study can be used as a basis for deeper and more detailed investigations of reproduction of larches in different environments with air pollution in the area of Lublin and its vicinity. Maybe roadside larches and its generative organs can be used as possible biomonitors of air pollution in urban conditions.

Morphological and anatomical structure of generative organs of Salsola kali ssp. ruthenica [Iljin] Soo at the SEM level

The morphology and anatomy of generative organs of Salsola kali ssp. ruthenica was examined in detail using the light (LM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The whole flowers, fruits and their parts (pistil, stamens, sepals, embryo, seed) were observed in different developmental stages. In the first stage (June), flower buds were closed. In the second stage (August), flowers were ready for pollination/fertilization. In the third stage (September), fruits were mature. Additionally, the anatomical and morphological structure of sepals was observed by means of LM and SEM. Thanks to the transverse and longitudinal semi-sections through sepals, the first phase of wing formation was recorded by SEM. The appearance of stomata in the epidermal cells of sepals above the forming wings was very interesting, too. The stomata were observed also in mature fruits.
