The activity of picoxystrobin and its mixtures with standard fungicides against isolates of eyespot cereal disease agents was estimated in laboratory in vitro tests. The tested Ramulispora herpotrichoides and R. acuformis isolates differed in response to carbendazim. Picoxystrobin at concentration from 0.05 to 50 mg/L not totally inhibited the mycelium growth of tested pathogens on PDA medium. But carbendazim sensitive R. herpotrichoides isolates were a little more susceptible to strobilurin derivate than carbendazim resistant R. herpotrichoides isolate and R. acuformis strains. The effect of picoxystrobin at concentration 0.5 mg/L as partner in mixture with standard fungicide at concentration 0.1 mg/L (carbendazim, prochloraz or cyprodinil) was assessed as the additive. It was relatively most noticeably in tests with R. acuformis and picoxystrobin plus cyprodinil mixture that was for mixture recommended as tank-mix or as manufacture product.
The experiment is a continuation of studies on the effect of mixing order of selected fungicides and zoocides on physico-chemical properties of spray liquids. In the experiment a total of 7 fungicides were tested (Aliette 80 WP, Amistar 250 SC, Discus 500 WG, Folicur BT 225 EC, Mirage 450 EC, Nimrod 250 EC, Proplant 722 SC) as well as 7 zoocides (Admiral 100 EC, Aztec 140 EW, Confidor 200 SL, Marshal 250 CS, Mospilan 20 SP, Nissorun 050 EC, Talstar 100 EC), which were mixed in the recommended order and in the reverse order to the recommended one. Phytoxicity was assessed on the basis of the determined effect of tank mixtures on weight of white mustard seedlings, the evaluation of burn degree and weight loss.
The eradicative effect of two strobilurin fungicides (kresoxim-methyl and trifloxystrobin) and difenoconazole on activity of apple scab spots was studied in greenhouse and field conditions. The reaction of mycelium and sporulation of Venturia inaequalis after fungicides applications were observed in light and scanning electron microscope. Mixture of strobilurin fungicide and difenoconazole applied twice, in 5 days interval, gave the best eradicative effect. The inhibition of sporulation was long lasting and it was observed even 3 and 5 weeks after treatments. The conidiophores, conidia and mycelium were damaged. Also difenoconazole showed good eradicative activity, in field condition up to 5 weeks after application. Trifloxystrobin significantly reduced the number of active scab lesions and the effect was visible even 3 weeks after treatment. Kresoxim-methyl in both tested doses (0,2 and 0,3 kg/ha) was slightly less effective.
