Analiza osiagniec wyscigowych koni polkrwi biegajacych na torze wyscigowym w latach 1984-1987 z uwzglednieniem ich pochodzenia

Race performance of 428 three years old halfbred horses racing on the track between 1984-1987 /on the basis of Race Track Bulletin and Stud Books: Km T. I-IV, Kwlkp T. I-IV, Kśl T. III-IV /were analysed. The horse breed and percentage of thoroughbred blood and purebred Arabians in their pedigree were studied. Individual Coefficient of Success /IWP/ as a comparison rate was used. We were also interested in the "gentle" halfbred horses. We payed special attention to the horses with IWP> 2,0. Results were statisticly analysed, then. Horses belonged to 6 breed groups: Little Poland Horses, Great Poland Horses, Angloarabians, Silesians, Hannovers, "Gentle" Halfbreds. The Anglo- arabians had the hifhest average IWP - 2,14j the next ones were: Little Poland Horses - 1,179, Hannover Horses - 0,97, "Gentle" Halfbreds - 0,85, Great Poland Horses - 0,82 and Silesians onses - 0,73. Average IWP /taking under consideration the percenta e of thoroughbred blood in pedigree/ is shown as following: 1,93 for horses with 75% and more of thoroughbred blood, 1,16 for horses with.≤ 50% and ≤ 75% of this blood, 0,73 for horses with 50% and 0,77 for horses with <50% of throughbred blood.

There have been cosidered the racing achievements of 1086 Polish Arabian horses born in the years 1946-1981 after 103 stallions and from the side of mares after 110 fathers, taking into account Individual Success Coefficient; for three-year-old horses there was determined ISC3, for four-year-old ones ISC4 as well as ISCs for two seasons. An evident influence of the stallion on the race performance of his progeny was stated. Among the fathers of three- -year-old horses the excelling ones were: Melon - 1.97, Sabbat - 1.87 and Arcus - 1.79. In the top of four-year-old horses, fathers there were: Almifar - 4.40, Elbrus - 1.85 and Engano - 1.73. Considering the ISCs, the best ones appeared: Almifar - 5.96, Engano - 3.69 and Polonus - 3.53. Among combinations father-mother's father the best ones appeared three-year-old horses: Etap - Pietuszok - 3,28, Tryptyk - Almifar - 3.08, Banat - Bandos - 2.77 and four-year-old ones: Tryptyk - Almifar - 3.38, Czort - Abu Afas - 3.01, Czardasz - Rozmaryn - 2.46; jointly: Tryptyk - Almifar - 6.48, Czort - Abu Afas 5.99 and Bandos - Czort - 4.69.
