New faunistic records concerning 36 species of the family Tenebrionidae in Poland are given. During investigations 4 new for the Mazurian Lakeland, 1 new for Mazovian Lowland and the Baltic Coast and 5 new for Podlasie were found.
A new subfamily Vereoxiinae among Canestriniidae is created for the new genus Vereoxia with one species V. bogeri n. sp. Four new canestriniid species are described: Gasuthiana melillae n. sp. from undetermined Tenebrionidae, Brazil, Afrocanestrinia rufinae n. sp. from Smaragdesthes oertzeni, Tanzania, A. samsoni n. sp. from S. africana, Senegal, Canestriniella phoebinae n. sp. from Batocera albofasciata octomaculata, Java. New diagnosis of the genera Gasuthiana, Afrocanestrinia and Canestriniella are given.
Two introduced species – Dacne picta CROTCH, 1873 and Cynaeus angustus (LECONTE, 1851) – have been recorded in Poland for the first time. The first species was collected in Elbląg (Masurian Lake District, NE Poland), the second one in Oborniki Śląskie (Trzebnickie Hills, SW Poland). Data on their distribution and history of introductions to Europe are briefly summarized.
The paper presents a revision of the knowledge on the distribution, biology, and ecology of Blaps spp. in Poland. New localities of Blaps mortisaga (L.), including the first non-synanthropic site in Poland are given. Problems of protection of the species are briefly discussed.
New data on the occurrence of 14 species of Alleculinae in the Wielkopolska-Kujawy Lowland is presented. Hymenophorus doublieri MULS. and Mycetochara humeralis (FABR.) are reported from the region for the first time.
New data on the occurrence of 2 species of Lagriinae and 13 species of Diaperinae on Wielkopolska-Kujawy Lowland is presented. Lagria atripes Muls. et Guill. is reported from the region for the first time.
