Subject and purpose of work: The subject matter and purpose of the publication is presentation of the significance of hotel consortia as a factor which optimizes transaction costs. Within the article a brief essence and origins of the concept of transaction cost, as well as evaluation of views on it have been presented. An attempt was made to divide transaction costs. Within the publication determinants of transaction costs have been presented and the conditions concerning transactions have been described. Within the article forms of conduct of hotel business have been outlined. Publication contains characteristics of hotel consortia, their rankings and places on the hotel market. The article reveals the role of forms of cooperation as a tool in modifying transaction costs. An advantage of consortia in managing transaction costs in relation to other forms of conduct of business activity in the hotel business. Materials and methods: Research methods consisted of factual analysis of transaction costs based on available data applied as well as of an attempt to forecast their development in the future. Materials on the basis of which the publication was created is the available subject literature as well as netographic information. Results: Results of research indicate clearly that hotel consortia contribute to limiting of costs of functioning of hotel objects. Conclusions: Show that hotel consortia constitute a chance for independent entrepreneurs competing against large hotel chains.

The article deals with employees´ remuneration and efficient distribution of the salary budget. The objective is to analyse and evaluate a remuneration system in a chosen enterprise. Based on these results by use the personnel controlling principles and statistical methods a multi-criterion system of the salary budget distribution will be proposed. After the proposed system’s application its contribution for the enterprise and advantages in comparison with the original system will be evaluated.

Key factors of the success and possibilities of reducing the milk production costs in specialized farms in Poland

The paper discusses trends in dairy cows population and milk production in Poland in the period 2004-2009 and the further changes until the year 201S. The aim of the paper was to present the key factors of the success in possibilities of reducing the milk production costs in specialized farms in Poland. Costs of production of bulky feed had about S3%. The factors were the smallest cost of: services and hired work, buying fodder, buying farm heifer, own cubic and filling fodder. In the smallest profitability, sum of savings in the above kind of cost could be even to 92.8% all of the possible savings. Slight differences between the farms with the lowest and the highest production profitability concern the cost of artificial insemination, water, electricity, cleanness means. Average possibilities of the cutting down the milk production cost were: internal farm transport, vet cure and insurance. Moreover, the milk farms which wanted to achieve high profitability in production have to search the saving in every size and in every kind of the cost.

Paper describes one innovate access to the right calculation of the production performance and production costs. It offers a transparent way, how to calculate the lean indicators in the real industrial production. Traditional companies use standard costing as the primary method of production costs control process. Today’s production environment enables a vitally mechanism in the area of monitoring of real production costs, because all types of wastes are undesirable and the motivation to cost decreasing is in according to the productivity improvement, higher efficiency and respectable cost level very important. This paper presents one of the most effective tools for enterprise processes cost reduction - value stream mapping and costing. This tool enables by lean metrics to improve not only the cost structure, but the system of cost calculation as a system for higher process profitability too.
