The wooden sacral architecture in Poland is a phenomenon on its own rights. Its development was shaped by a long-term evolution, continuity of tradition, resposiveness to various inspirations and the emergence of abundant types, forms and varieties of construction. The author described in detail the development of this type of architecture up to the end of the 19th century when it entered its declining stages.
