Bibloplectus strouhali BEIER (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae, Pselaphinae) is reported from Poland for the first time on the basis of a male specimen collected in Lower Silesia, SW Poland.
This is the second paper of a series dealing with the Chinese fauna of the large genus Pselaphodes Westwood, 1870. Twelve new species and a new synonym are presented: P. bomiensis sp. nov. (Xizang); P. biwenxuani sp. nov. (Xizang); P. condylus sp. nov. (Guizhou); P. cuonaus sp. nov. (Xizang); P. fengtingae sp. nov. (Zhejiang); P.gongshanensis sp. nov. (Yunnan); P. hamniensis sp. nov. (Xizang); P. jizushanus sp. nov. (Yunnan); P. meniscus sp. nov. (Sichuan); P. parvus sp. nov. (Guizhou); P.pectinatus sp. nov. (Hainan);P. wuyinus Yin et al., 2010 syn. nov. = P. tianmuensis Yin et al., 2010; and P. yanbini sp. nov. (Guizhou). New distributional data and discussion on intraspecific variations of P. tianmuensis and P. aculeus are provided. An updated key is given to assist in distinguishing all so far known Chinese species of Pselaphodes. A checklist of world species of Pselaphodes is also provided.
New records of 15 species of the pselaphine tribe Bythinini in Poland are presented. Bryaxis bulbifer is for the first time reported to occur in the Masurian Lakeland, Podlasie, the Białowieża Primeval Forest, the Małopolska Upland, the Świętokrzyskie Mountains, and the Sandomierz Basin; Br. carpathicus in the Bieszczady Mountains; Br. clavicornis in the Mazovian Lowland, the Białowieża Primeval Forest, and the Bieszczady Mountains; Br. curtisii in the Pomeranian and Masurian Lakelands, the Małopolska Upland, and the Pieniny Mountains; Br. nigripennis in the Pieniny Mountains; Br. puncticollis in the Pomeranian and Masurian Lakelands, the Mazovian Lowland, the Małopolska Upland, and the Świętokrzyskie Mountains; Br. reitteri in the Bieszczady Mountains; Br. weisei in the Pieniny and Bieszczady Mountains; Bythinus burrelli in the Pomeranian Lakeland, the Małopolska Upland, and Świętokrzyskie Mountains; Bt. macropalpus in Podlasie and the Sandomierz Basin; and Bt. securiger in the Eastern Beskidy Mountains. The occurrence in Poland of the extremely rare Br. frivaldszkyi slovenicus is confirmed, whereas the nominotypical subspecies is removed from the checklist of the beetles of Poland.
Based on specimens from private collections, a faunistic review of the genus Batrisodes REITTER in Poland is presented. Numerous new distributional records for B. adnexus (HAMPE), B. buqueti (AUBÉ), B. delaporti (AUBÉ), B. hubenthali REITTER, B. venustus (REICHENBACH) and B. unisexualis BESUCHET are given. An identification key to Polish species of the genus and remarks on female diagnostic characteristics are provided.
Brachygluta klimschi HOLDHAUS found in the Bieszczady Mts. is reported as new to the Polish fauna and to the Eastern Carpathians. The current knowledge of distribution of Pselaphinae in Poland is discussed.
Four new species of the Pselaphodes complex of genera (Pselaphinae: Tyrini) from China are described and illustrated: Labomimus bannaus Yin et Li, sp. nov. (Yunnan), Labomimus jiudigensis Yin et Nomura, sp. nov. (Sichuan), Linan uenoi Yin et Nomura, sp. nov. (Guangxi) and Pselaphodes kishimtoi Yin et Nomura, sp. nov. (Guizhou). New provincial records are provided for Pselaphodes linae Yin et Li, P. miraculum Yin, Li et Zhao, P. nomurai Yin, Li et Zhao and P. parvus Yin, Li et Zhao, with new illustrations of habitus and/or male diagnostic features given for the latter three species.
New distributional data concerning five species of Euplectus LEACH (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Pselaphinae) are provided. Euplectus bonvouloiri narentinus REITTER is recorded from Poland for the first time; the occurrence of E. tholini GUILLEBEAU, hitherto uncertain, is confirmed; new findings of another three rare species are reported: E. bescidicus REITTER and E. decipiens RAFFRAY are new for Bałowieża Primeval Forest, E. mutator FAUVEL is new for Wielkopolska-Kujawy Lowland and Mazury Lake District.
