As a result of two-years studies carried out in the Dendrological Garden in Poznań 47 aphid species representing 2 families: Adelgidae and Aphididae wwere found. Aphids were collected on 26 tree species and 38 shrubs species.
Systematic, phenological observations over selected deciduous species of trees and shrubs have been carried out in the Dendrological Garden from 1995. Estimation of their development is based on the climatic factors and on the indicator plants for the individual phenological seasons. Observed species of the Celastraceae and Rosaceae families, derived from Eastern Asia are well adopted to our phenological seasons. Resistance to low temperature and drought, creation of natural renewal and full life-cycle during the vegetation confirm their adaptation to the climatic and site conditions of the Dendrological Garden.
