В статье рассматриваются экологические данные касающиеся 50 видов клещей Mesostigmata (за исключением Parasitidae ) собранных на отвалах угольных шахт.
The study focuses on the fauna and its aim was to prepare a register of mesostigmatid mites reported from the Tatra National Park. The register was prepared on the basis of literature and the author’s own research conducted in the park. The study describes 115 mite species from the order Mesostigmata reported from the Tatra National Park. The most numerous were families Parasitidae (27 species) and Zerconidae (14).
A new species Arctoseius wisniewskii sp. nov. (Acari: Ascidae) is described and illustrated. It was found in litter and soil from rock cracks in the Góry Stołowe National Park in Poland.
Antennoseius (Vitzthumia) ventrianalis sp. nov. is the second species of Antennoseius described from Australia (Acari: Ascidae). It is described from non-phoretic specimens collected from the soil surface. The new species is unique in having three pairs of ventral setae on the ventri-anal shield; the maximum observed in other species is two pairs. It is sexually dimorphic in the degree of fusion of the podonotal and opisthonotal shields and some other minor characters.
In this work the authors give a list of mites (Acari, Mesostigmata) which have so far been found in the area of the Pieniny Mountains. This list was made up on the basis of their own studies, but those studies that had previously been conducted on the subject were also taken into consideration.
