The objective of this work was to estimate the disappearance parameters of azoxystrobin, cyprodinil and fludioxonil initial deposits, active ingredients of Amistar 250 SC, and Switch 62,5 WG, at present, commonly used for the protection of fruits and vegetables against diseases of fungal origin. The tests were carried out on tomato plants grown in commercial greenhouses sprayed with homogenous 0.1% aqueous solution of these plant protection products. It was found that on tomato leaves azoxystrobin, cyprodinil, and fludioxonil residues dropped by half on average within 13, 9, and 31 days after treatments, respectively. Therefore, in conditions of high infection pressure, there is a need to repeat the fungicide application but not earlier than 10 days after previous application of Amistar 250 SC and Switch 62,5 WG.
The paper presents some aspects of relations between modern plant protection of apple orchards and ecotoxicology. Based on significant similarity of the shape and size of apple and tomato fruits the relation between the doses of active ingredients of plant protection products and their residue levels immediately after treatment was derived for the apples and then quality indices and the risks for human health were estimated. It was found that many of the currently in force MRLs need to be revised and the exposure of consumer should not exceed the acceptable daily intakes (ADIs) and acute reference doses (ARfDs) for pesticide residues.

Behaviour of pyrimethanil residues on tomato plants

100%
The objective of this work was to estimate the disappearance of pyrimethanil the active ingredient of Mythos 300 SC. At present, Mythos 300 SC is commonly used for the protection of greenhouse vegetables against diseases of fungal origin. The behaviour of pyrimethanil deposits was studied on tomato plants grown in commercial greenhouses sprayed with homogenous 0.15% aqueous solution of this plant protection product. It was found that the value of pyrimethanil residues on ripening fruits decreased by half and reached zero levels in 5.7 and 13.7 days after Mythos 300 SC application, respectively. Pyrimethanil residues on tomato leaves decreased by half within 4.0 days and reached zero level in the first 10.5 days. Therefore, in conditions of high infection pressure, there is a need to repeat the fungicide application as early as after 3 or 4 days after previous application of Mythos 300 SC.
Celem niniejszej pracy było zaprezentowanie występowania pozostałości środków ochrony roślin w jabłkach w 2007 roku. W badaniach stosowano metody chromatografii gazowej oraz metodę kolorymetryczną do oznaczania pozostałości ditiokarbaminianów. Najczęściej wyrywano pozostałości fungicydów: ditiokarbaminianów (18% analizowanych próbek), kaptanu (13%), pirymetanilu (6%), a z insektycydów głównie chíoropiryfosu (6%), diazinonu (6%), i pirymikarbu (5%). Przekroczenia NDP wystąpiły w 5,6% przebadanych próbek i dotyczyły pozostałości: flusilazolu (fi=2), propikonazolu (n=2), cyprodinilu (n=l), dimetoatu (n=l) i fenitrotionu (n=l).
Studies on the decay of folpet, triadimenol and tetraconazole residues in apple fruits after their application against diseases were carried out. The studies were carried out in apple orchard situated in Budziwój the district of Rzeszów. According to test 1 the level of detected residues of folpet, triadimenol and tetraconazole directly after the treatments were respectively: 1.22±0.608; 0.065±0.22 and 0.067±0.023 mg/kg. The results of test 2 revealed that the folpet and triadimenol residues amounted to 1.671±0.430 and 0.082±0.012 mg/kg. In test 3 the detected level of tetraconazole was 0.034±0.007 mg/kg. On the basic of obtained results concerning the period of fungicide residue decay, it can be stated that fungicides containing folpet, triadimenol and tetraconazole used in apple orchards to protect apple fruits (intended for baby food production) against fungal diseases should be applied not later than 2 months before harvest.
The objectives of this work were to describe the residual behaviour of chlorpyrifos (insecticide) and chlorothalonil (fungicide), applied for the protection of carrot and parsley plantations. The field tests were carried out at farms located near Rzeszów (South-Eastern Poland) on processing carrot and parsley destined for baby food production. The results obtained indicated that disappearance rate of chlorothalonil on carrot leaves was significantly faster and its half-life time was about 7 times shorter than that of chlorpyrifos. In weather conditions of 2006, chlorpyrifos residues in rape carrot and parsley roots were reduced to levels lower than MRL and even the rigorous value of 0.01 mg/kg.
