Thinning is one of the most important agrotechnical treatments, which guarantee obtaining optimum yield and quality of fruits. Using of chemical agents is now the most popular method of thinning. However, in conditions of limited availability of preparations, and still increasing area of ecological orchards, many scientists are searching for alternative thinning methods. One of them is mechanical thinning. It allows to greatly reduce or even completely eliminate use of chemicals. There are few attempts to use different devices in the world. The obtained results allow to consider mechanical thinning as a real and fully useful method for thinning on the fruit trees.
