Article presented the analysis of milk production factors on the farm level, on Polish, Hungarian and the UE farms, which were used to the EDF research. The highest differences referred to the size of cow herd, milk yields, productivity and basic production factors e.g. land and labour. Financial comparisons among the dairy farms showed the highest cost of milk production on Italian and Swedish farms while the lowest on Polish farms. The labour cost was the highest from among component costs, of which consisted the total cost of milk production. The biggest differences between Poland and the EU countries concerning milk production referred to land and labour productivity.
