On the genus Poloniella Gürich (Ostracoda)

This paper reports the results of investigations on the ontogeny, variation, dimorphism and structure of carapace in several species of Poleniella Gürich (Kloedenellidae) from Middle Devonian strata of the Holy Cross Mountains (Góry Świętokrzyskie) in Poland. Dizygopleura Ulrich & Bassler is regarded as a synonym of the genus Poloniella Gürich. Two new species: P. brevis and P. diversa have been distinguished; a description is given of the male specimens of two species, heretofore not recorded from Poland (P. tertia Krömmelbein, P. cingulata Warthin), also of two other species (P. kielanae Přibyl, P. devonica Gürich) previously reported from Poland.

Sur'certaines modifications pendant l'ontogenèse des Ostracodes Dévoniens

Dans cette note est faite l'analyse du développement ontogénétique de 9 espèces d'Ostracodes du Dévonien moyen des Monts de Sainte-Croix (Góry Świętokrzyskie). L'auteur a pu constater que les caractères nouveaux font leur apparition au cours de l'ontogenèse suivant différentes modalités: tantôt par la voie de protérogenèse (Schindewolf ), tantôt par celle de prolongation des stades terminaux (Franz) ou anabolie (Severtzoff), tantôt enfin par celle de déviation (Franz, Severtzoff).

Nine species of the Famennian phacopid trilobites are described from the southern part of the Holy Cross Mts. In addition to forms already recorded from this area the writer describes some species never before found in Poland, as well as two quite new species, namely: Trimerocephalus polonicus and Dianops? trifolius.
