Synanthedon spuleri (FUCHS, 1908) was found in the south–eastern part of Poland. The species is new to the Polish fauna. This is the northernmost locality in the whole distribution area in Europe.
Chamaesphecia nigrifrons (Lepidoptera: Sesiidae) has been hitherto known in Poland on the basis of a single specimen caught in 1967 in Bieszczady. In 2007 the presence of this species in Poland was confirmed. It was reported from a number of sites in Polesie Lubelskie and Podlasie, over the area of 14 UTM squares. The paper presents morphological description and new biological data on this clearwing moth.
Sixteen species of Sesiidae were recorded from the south-eastern part of Polesie Lubelskie region. The most interesting are: Synanthedon mesiaeformis (H.-S.), S. stomoxyformis (HBN.) and Chamaesphecia hungarica TOMALA.
Twenty two species of Sesiidae were collected from the south-eastern part of Polesie Lubelskie region. The species Synanthedon andrenaeformis, S. conopiformis and S. loranthi are reported from this area for the first time.
The paper contains short remarks on the occurrence of Aegeria mesiaeformis (H.-S.) in Poland. The species is new to the Polish fauna and is known so far only from several localities in the eastern part of Poland. Short comments on habitat and bionomics are also given.
Twenty two species of Sesiidae were recorded from Puszcza Kozienicka Forest in Central Poland. It makes 76% of all species of this family known from Poland.
