An attempt was made to define the relations among the velocity and acceleration of vibrations generated by crank-pin - bearing sleeve joint and statistical estimators (standard deviation) of these vibrations spectra connected with the roughness of rubbing surfaces. The nomogram of these relation ships was platted for practical evaluating the running - in process of S-312 C engine.

Paper presents an attempt to localize the maximum positive reaction in destructive feedback of the vibrations arising in main bearings of multicylinder tractor engine during its working life. Localization of such points increased the probability of right, exact diagnosis at using vibro-acoustic method. The effect of operating factors on wearing process and vibration level are considered.
