Eleven species of Platygastrinae are described, based on specimens collected in the mainland Japan: Leptacis nipponensissp. nov. (Shikoku), Platygaster lucidifronssp. nov. (Shikoku and Honshu), P. pilidorsasp. nov. (Honshu), P. planicorpasp. nov. (Honshu), P. shikokuensissp. nov. (Shikoku), P. tomentariasp. nov. (Shikoku), P. yamagishiisp. nov. (Shikoku), Synopeas frankensteinisp. nov. (Honshu), S. umbriclavatumsp. nov. (Shikoku), Trichacoides sagittariussp. nov. (Honshu), and T. zebrasp. nov. (Shikoku). Comparative notes on similar taxa are given.

New records of Platygastrinae (Hymenoptera: Platygastridae) in Poland, including sixteen species new in the Polish fauna

New distributional records of twenty species of Platygastrinae (Hymenoptera: Platygastridae) in Poland are given. Sixteen species are recorded for the first time: Amblyaspis scelionoides (HALIDAY), Anopedias lacustris (KIEFFER), Euxestonotus clavicornis BUHL, Leptacis fimbriata KIEFFER, Leptacis halia (WALKER), Leptacis ozines (WALKER), Platygaster cebes WALKER, Platygaster chloropus THOMSON, Platygaster doczkali BUHL, Platygaster euhemerus WALKER, Platygaster nisus WALKER, Platygaster sterope WALKER, Platygaster uniformis BUHL, Synopeas inerme THOMSON, Synopeas lugubre THOMSON, and Synopeas trebium (WALKER). Platygaster doczkali has been known so far only from the holotype collected in Germany. As this hymenopteran family is exceptionally poorly studied, and such a remarkable number of species new to the fauna of Poland was collected in only three geographic regions (Wielkopolsko-Kujawska Lowland, Lower Silesia and Bieszczady Mts), future surveys are expected to significantly extend the checklist of Polish platygastrids.

The fauna of Ceraphronoidea in Poland is exceptionally poorly known; only eleven species of Ceraphronidae and five of Megaspilidae have been recorded so far. The occurrence of another species, Aphanogmus terminalis (FÖRSTER) (Ceraphronidae) is reported here, on the basis of a male specimen reared from a gall of Rhabdophaga sp. (Cecidomyiidae) collected near Poznań, Western Poland. This minute wasp has been known so far only from Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Ireland and Romania.

Two new species of Platygastrinae (Hymenoptera: Platygastridae) are described, based on specimens collected in Europe: Metaclisis semistriata sp. nov. (Austria) and Platygaster polonica sp. nov. (Poland). A female and two males of Synopeas burgeri Buhl, 2012, a species known so far from a single female collected in Germany, are recorded from Poland and male characters of this species are described and illustrated for the first time. Comparative notes on similar taxa are given.
