273 species of noctuid moths (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) have been found during the studies carried out during the years 1999-2003 in the Experimental Forest Station Siemianice (Wielkopolska province). It makes 55% of all the noctuids reported from Poland. For each species following characteristics are given: period of appearance of adults, abundance in five-grade scale, as well as spatial distribution in the investigated area.
Depressaria libanotidella (SCHLÄGER, 1849) is reported as a new species to Polish fauna. The species was found in the southern part of Poland in the Pieniny Mts.
New locality of Eucarta amethystina (Hbn.) in Przemyśl Hills is presented.
The study presents the results of investigations on changes in groups of Noctuidae (Lepidoptera) of xerothermic rock sward ecosystems in the Pieniny caused by storage reservoirs in the Pieniny foothills, operating for over a decade now. A comparative analysis, taking into consideration exclusive characteristic species and indexes of similarity between groups investigated 40 years ago and at present (in 2003–06) at the same sites clearly shows that changes in the Noctuidae fauna are regressive in character only in the immediate vicinity of the water reservoirs and as the distance from a reservoir increases, the negative effect decreases until it disappears completely. Considerable regressive changes may be observed in the following spots: Zielone Skałki (index of similarity), Niedzica Biała Skała (15.74) or Czorsztyn Hill (22.86). In contrast, at present these changes are not observed on Zamczysko (index of similarity 55.55) or Macelowa Góra (53.3).
The first records of Caryocolum vicinella (DOUGLAS, 1851) from Poland are given. The species was found at two localities in Pieniny Mountains.
As a result of studies on noctuid moths (Lepidoptera: Noctuoidea: Erebidae, Nolidae, Noctuidae) carried out during the year 1998-2014 in western part of Poznań, 272 species were found (54% of Polish noctuid moths). For each species the following characteristics are given: period of appearance of adults, abundance in five-grade scale.
Grapholita andabatana (WOLFF, 1957) is reported as a new species to Polish fauna. The species was found in the southern part of Poland in the Pieniny Mts.
New locality of Aplota nigricans (ZEEL) and historical records of occurrence of this species in Poland are presented.
First documented records of Eriogaster rimicola (DEN & SCHIFF.) from Poland after more than eighty years are presented. A critical review of faunistic data and distribution map is given.
As a result of the studies on noctuid moths (Lepidoptera: Noctuoidea: Nolidae, Erebidae, Noctuidae) carried out during the years 1999-2005 in rock areas near Mirów 238 species were found (47% of Polish noctuid moths). Some of them are rare in Poland. The following information is provided for each species: period of appearance of imagines and relative abundance in a five-grade scale.
The first record of Dryobotodes monochroma ESPER (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae) from Poland is given. The species was found in the Bieszczady Mountains, Southeastern Poland.
