An example of Corporate Social Responsibility of university - activity of Faculty of Wood Technology WULS - SGGW. The goal of the paper was to analyse the level and range of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of university. As an example the meeting with key employers was examined, to support the development of faculty’s didactics by adjusting the teaching program and the profile of graduate to further employer’s demands.
Unfavourable tendencies resulting from global economic crisis influence economic situation on the job market and career prospects for college graduates. Obtaining a degree does not guarantee employment with the acquired qualifications. That is why more and more candidates choose subjects that provide greater chances of employment in the educated profession. One of such options is Faculty of Wood Technology in Warsaw (SGGW). The article presents survey findings. The statistical survey was conducted at the Department among 180 full-time and part-time students regarding the primary factors determining their choice of studies.

In the era of global economic crisis, the issue of bankruptcy is becoming more important. Since 2007, growth of the insolvency of companies in many countries around the world was significantly increased. This crisis has also affected the Polish economy. Due to the significant role of the wood industry, this article examines the phenomenon of bankruptcy in Poland, with particular emphasis on this sector.
