The evaluation of soil aeration conditions in different levels of moisture content (14, 23.5 and 33 volumptric per cents) and under different Ca and Mg rates (without treatment, and with the treatment with CaO, with CaO and MgO, and with MgS04 7 H2O) was investigated. The oxygen conditions were evaluated by means of both ODR and Eh coefficients, and I 0 and N/Mn coefficients. The occurrence of oxygen stresses were not observed under the examined moisture conditions in the soil. The investigated factors were not the factors limiting oxygen availability to the roots of spring barley.
