There are few number of studies on trichinellosis in México. It has been reported in 5 to 15% of human autopsy cases. Parasitized people were 20 to 69 years old, eventhough, there are not studies in children. These autopsy cases with trichineuosis were asymptomatic and dead because other diseases. The higher parasitosis were of 117 larvae per gram of muscle. Infection in pigs is very rare; on the other hand trichinellosis was found in 25% of cats and 2% of rats. A study on preservatives for parasitized muscles, showed that 50% ethanolamine preserve samples for diagnosis for one year.
