Salinity, pH, climate, and moisture content, along with topographical data were compared between plant associations, to define key factors affecting soil salt accumulation and establishment of natural vegetation. The extreme values found in some associations are explained by the spatial distribution of the studied points.
Branded beef products are more and more sought in Europe. There have been attempts to spread and introduce branded meat in Hungary primarily on swine market. According to market forecasts, beef consumption is going to rise and its share in food consumption is going to have more significance. Beef is more prockly product than swine or poultry, EU requirements are also more strict, the registration system is well-organized and controlled.
In our research we study the relationship and inherency of human resources and competitiveness in the regions of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. At present, „knowledge based economy”, „economy of knowledge” are more and more frequently used concepts which emphasize the importance of human capital in the process of the development of the society and the economy. The „Europe 2020” strategy, accepted in spring 2010, also focuses on „keeping economic power of the community determining 500 million people’s life in competition” [European Committee 2010]. One of the priorities in the strategy is intelligent growth, which means the establishment of a society based on knowledge and innovation. However, building up a knowledge based society is only possible with a healthy and educated population. Improvement of human resources is a definite factor of establishing regional development. The created added value can be higher, if the potential of human capital is higher as well. One of the main goals of our research is to organize indicators which define human development into principal components, to create clusters from the regions of the V4 countries according to the principal components, and to uncover the differences between the clusters. Furthermore, we aimed to explore the connection between the level of development and competitiveness – defined by the principal components - of the human resources of a region.
W pracy przedstawiono metody służące łączeniu problematyki związków miedzy rozwojem ekonomicznym a poziomem życia ludności. Może to być wykorzystane w planowaniu rozwoju infrastruktury i transportu publicznego.

The examination of disadvantaged regions goes back to a long history, which is greatly influenced by the ever-changing natural, economic and human resources. Consequently, while examining the disadvantaged areas, we face new systems of coherences. Today’s regional policy also needs to answer the question whether the spatial development funds of the past have been efficient or not and whether the land use distribution influences the spatial competitiveness or not. These issues occur every day while analyzing the efficiency of the past 20 years’ regional policy
Emission of sulphur compounds was absorbed from the atmosphere to an alkaline surface of a filter containing sodium carbonate in the region of Nitra - Malanta. Sulphates were determined by titration with ethanolic solution of Ba(C104)2. Results from January 1st - December 31st 1999 show that mean S02 concentrations at Nitra were 18.3 ug.m-3 S02 and 15.4 mg ■ m-2- d-1 SO2. The average (January 1st - December 31st 2000) value of area fallout was 11.6 mg m-2 d -1 S02 and the value of content concentration was 14.9 ug m-3 S02. The area fallout of emission of S is connected with the given meteorological situation (precipitation, average temperature, direction and speed of wind). The fact was confirmed by the results of our experiment.
According to the valid STN, a semi-product is as a suitable manure containing magnesium and calcium after removing the fraction above 0.5 mm. On average, the semi-products and raw materials analysed contain 86.64% MgC03 and 8.30% CaC03, which corresponds to 46.46% MgO and 4.65% CaO. They are also suitable for organic agriculture, which demands sufficient contents of magnesium in farm products. An essential portion of magnesium is bound in carbonates, complemented by magnesium in silicate forms. The products have relatively high contents of manganese (1643,68 mg kg-1), although its mobilisable percentage is barely 0.3%. Other controlled microelements (Cu, Zn, Co) are also present in forms unsuitable for vegetables.
