The strategic aim of Poland is membership of the European Union. Agriculture causes the most difficulties in Polands integration into the European Union. The three main areas that one has to take into account in looking at the results of polish membership are as follows: - the difference in the agricultural structures, - the European Union agricultural policies, - the agreement on association between Poland and the European commonwealth. Polish agriculture is characterized by its very high level of employment and low level of productivity in comparison to the European Union. The consequences of the European Union agricultural policies will be the increase of prices of agricultural products and of subsidies to the agricultural sector in Poland. The aim of the agreement on association is to create a free market system. The agreement foresees an area of certain preferences for the Polish agricultural system. However, the preferences are not fully utilized. Polish membership of the European Union will also have a lot of advantages for the agricultural sector in Poland.

The integration of European Communities have gone through several stages, namely free- trade zone, customs union, common market; at present it enters the stage of monetary- economic union. The main tasks connected with this stage are creation of a common monetary unit and coordination of economic policy by means of the European System of Central Banks and the European Central Bank itself. Curtain elements of political union are formed together with successive stages of economic integration. Poland, according to the treaty concerning association with European Communities, is supposed to go through radical structual transfor­mations on its way to the membership.

Agrarianism is a programme, a policy, or a social movement, whose aim is to improve the position of farming. Polish agrarianism assumes a leading role of farming and farmers in the economy, class unity in the country, superiority of privately owned family farms ever other forms agricultural economies. It reveals a negative attitude to monopolies and large landowners. Agrarianism attached primary importance to the development of cooperatives, which assist family farms. It actively promotes the idea of local councils. Polish agrarianism intends to achieve its aims by making changes in people's attitudes, education, culture and legislation.

Renta ekonomiczna w leśnictwie to dochód uzyskany z tytułu posiadania lub użytkowania gruntów charakteryzujących się określoną klasą bonitacyjną siedlisk leśnych oraz dochód powstały ze sprzedaży danego typu drzewostanu w określonym wieku. W artykule omówiono sposób obliczania poszczególnych form renty występującej w leśnictwie. Ich sumaryczne ujęcie jako wartości dochodowej po skapitalizowaniu może być wykorzystane do wyceny gruntów leśnych.
