The article presents consumption of fruit, vegetables and their preserves in Poland in the last decade and also shows changes which occured in this consumption from 2001 to 2005 in comparison with the period from 1996 to 2000. The consumption in Poland is compared with consumption in UE-25. This comparison shows two trends; the first one is coming to a stop of growing trend in fruit consumption in the end of nineties. The second one is stagnation in vegetables consumption. Both trends are result of stopping of increasing in consumers income. It indicates that level of fruit consumption is definitely lower in Poland comparing with UE-25. Low levels of fruit consumption (55,24 kg per capital) and vegetables consumption (110,50 kg per capital) which occured in Poland last years have a chance to rise because quite big, economic growth is observed in 2006 in this country. Increase of society's affluence will simulate increase of consumption particularly consumption of fruit and theirs preserves.
