The aim of the respective investigations was to get the cattle with a high milk and beef performance. The local black-and-white cattle as well as Holstein-Friesian and Swedish-Friesian (SLB) cattle were used in reciprocal crossing. At the first stage of the investigations fattening and slaughter value of progeny of the genotype of 1/4 Holstein-Friesian, 1/4 black-and-white and 1/2 SLB was investigated. Bulls were fed individually with the rations with high share of silage. The progeny of SLB bulls was by 1.4 cm lower, but wider and deeper than Holstein- Friesian ones. It was characterized by higher share of the rear part, higher net carcass dressing by 1.5% and better meatiness, the meat share in 5 joints and round being higher by 1.9 and 1.6%, respectively. The above differences were not statistically significant.
