In this paper energetic effects of cutting with narrow-kerf saws are performed. Results of investigation of feed forces on the frame sawing machine PRW15M are described. Feed forces during cutting with both good quality cutting edge saws and poor quality cutting edge saws are examined.

The article presents methods of operation for preparing experimental studies of the wood sawing process on the narrow-kerf sash gang saw PRW15M. Preparation of studies process was divided into stages: preparation of samples, measurement of physical properties of wood (moisture content of wood, density of wood), measurement of structural properties of wood (average width of annual growth and average fraction of late wood).

Background: Pain ailments of the spine are one of the most common diseases of the system of bones and joints. 75% to 85% of the world’s population suffer or will suffer from it, and lumbar pain is the most common cause of disability of persons over 45 years of age. They are usually the beginning of a chronic, often progressing ailments often leading to disability, incapacity to work and restrictions in daily life. Myofascial massage helps reduce pain sen sations. Is a specific method of gradual stretching soft tissues and making muscle fibres more elastic. It reduces increased muscle tone, muscle insertions and tendons. Material/Methods: The study involved 30 women with a mean age of 52.7 years. The study relied on performing 10 myofascial massages of the spine within 2 weeks. Results: The statistical analysis of the Wilcoxon’s signed-ranked test showed statistically significant results for tested variables of the Laitinen scale (the intensity of pain before and after the treatment at p = 0.00, the incidence of pain before and after the treatment at p = 0.00, the use of analgesics before and after the treatment at p = 0.00, limitation of physical activity before and after the treatment at p = 0.00). Conclusions: The applied therapy involving a series of myofascial massages supporting the structures of the motor segment, improving the elasticity of the massaged tissues and normalising the muscle tone resulted in reducing pain ailments in the lumbo-sacral section of the spine. Improvement in the patients’ well-being and increased desire for physical activity took place.

Mode vibrations of plates - experimental analyses. In this paper results of the square MDF piate and circular saw blades examination with the use of the harmonic method to static identification of resonant frequencics and shapes of mode vibrations are presented. Obtained results reveled that for circular saws with large holes in a saw blade appeared two resonant frequencies for the same nodal number.

The effect of the annual growth and the late wood share upon density of the Polish pine wood as a function of its origin. In the paper the variations of density of Polish pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) in a function of the late wood share in the annual growth with regard to the wood origin are presented. The measurement of density of wood was performed by using the stereometric method described in the works by Krzysik. This method consists in measurements the volume of the sample by determination of the various dimensions (length, width, height), and weighting of the sample mass. Nevertheless, measurements of the late wood share in the annual growth had been carried out according to own methodology which based on the classical method described in the work by Krzysik. The comparison was made for pine from natural forests derived from four different regions of Poland. The effect of the share of the late wood on the density Polish pine wood is observed. However, Pearson‘s r correlation coefficient values depend strongly on the examined wood origins.
