Research of the healthiness of winter wheat depending on the soil tillage system and rate of nitrogen fertilization were carried out in 1998-2001. The largest threat to the healthiness of plants was tan spot, which was caused by Pyrenophora tritici-repentis, especially in cropping season 1999/2000. The soil tillage system diversified the intensification of occurence of this pathogen, only in two last years of research. The most infected by P. tritici-repentis was wheat, which was cultivated in the direct sowing. Application of underplant crop of white clover in the direct sowing contributed to the improvement of the plants healthiness. The highest rate of nitrogen fertilization (120 kgN ha⁻¹) in the highest degree favoured the damage of wheat by P tritici-repentis, but only in two first years of research. The second pathogen Blumeria graminis, which caused powdery mildew of cereals, occured in small amount and didn’t have any influence on the healthiness of winter wheat.
The aim of study was to compare four nutrient media from usefulness point of view for further analysis of fungi inhabiting stem weevils body. Yeast and bacterial organisms were amount a half of all colonies. Essential differences between media concern quantity of microorganisms species. The largest proportional part of fungi was reached on nutrient medium PDA with streptomycin. Species characterized as a pathogenic to oilseed rape plants, accounted for 17.3% of all colonies. Also on PDA with streptomycin, Sclerotinia sclerotorium was isolated in the greatest colony number.
The mycobiota composition of plant phyllosphere depends on atmospheric factors as well as on the physiological properties of plant. In the recent years the infections of the eastern purple coneflower by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Botrytis cinerea, Fusarium oxysporum, Verticillium dahliae and by Erysiphe cichoracearum have been observed. The development of these pathogens is dependent on the species composition of the phyllosphere organisms, but it is also affected by the form and the level of nitrogen nutrition. The undertaken study aimed at the analysis of the mycobiota composition of the coneflower phyllosphere as dependent on the rate of ammonium sulphate used in the plant fertilization. The experiment was set up in 2007–2009 at Psary near Wrocław. Two fertilizer rates were applied: 50 kg N·ha⁻¹ and 200 kg N·ha⁻¹. The fungal taxa most abundantly isolated from the leaf surface of coneflower are: Cladosporium spp., Alternaria alternata, yeast-like colonies, Fusarium spp. and Epicoccum nigrum. These fungi make up > 90% of the isolated colonies., with C. herbarum and A. alternata as the dominant components of the assemblages. The dominant species within Fusarium spp. is F. equiseti. The species composition of the assemblages of fungi in the coneflower phyllosphere is variable and dependent on the course of the weather. The fertilization rate of ammonium sulphate does not affect the species composition of the phyllosphere fungi assemblages of the coneflower.
The health statusof triticale grown in conventional tillage and direct sowing was studied at Swojec Agricultural Experimental Station, near Wrocław in 1998–2001. Tillage method had a high impact on the infestation of stem bases by Fusarium spp. During three years of research triticale grown in direct sowing was more strongly affected by these fungi than in the traditional cultivation. Percentage of Fusarium spp. in infected plants was very high, especially in direct sowing (80% of total isolatious). The most often isolated fungus was Gibberella avenacea, which inhabited mainly triticale grown in direct sowing. F. culmorum appeared in infected tissues less numerously.
Główną przyczyną chorób podstawy źdźbła pszenicy były grzyby z rodzaju Fusarium, szczególnie F. culmorum i F. avenaceum oraz Rhizoctonia cerealis i Bipolaris sorokiniana.
Doświadczenie polowe zostało założone w Stacji Badawczo-Dydaktycznej Roślin Warzywnych i Ozdobnych - Psary, należącej do Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego we Wrocławiu, metodą podbloków, w trzech powtórzeniach. Z fyllosfery jeżówki najliczniej były izolowane grzyby z rodzaju Cladosporium i Alternaria alternata. W pierwszym roku badań dominował A. alternata, natomiast w dwóch następnych latach Cladosporium spp. W 2007 r. najliczniej wyosobniano C. cladosporioides a w latach 2008-2009 C. herbarum. W czasie trzyletnich badań dość licznie były izolowane kolonie drożdżoidalne, Fusarium spp., Epicoccum nigrum oraz kolonie niezarodnikujące ciemne i jasne. Stwierdzono zależność dotyczącą liczebności Fusarium spp. i Trichoderma spp. uzyskanych z fyllosfery jeżówki, w poszczególnych latach badań. W latach, w których Fusarium spp. były izolowane najliczniej, grzyby rodzaju Trichoderma wyosobniano sporadycznie. Skład gatunkowy Fusarium spp. był najbardziej zróżnicowany w latach 2007-2008. W fyllosferze dominował F. equiseti. Pozostałe gatunki grzybów: Aspergillus spp., Penicillium spp., Mucor spp., Rhizopus spp., Phoma spp., Ulocladium botrytis, Botiytis cinerea, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum i Pestalotia epilobii były izolowane sporadycznie.
W latach 2004-2006 przeprowadzono doświadczenie polowe w Pawłowicach koło Wrocławia. Badano zdrowotność siewek czterech odmian buraka cukrowego: ‘Alyssa’, ‘Nabucco’, ‘Esperanza’ i ‘Isolda’.
Corn silage is one of the best roughage, for cattle feeding all year round. A high quality corn silage should be characterized by a pleasant sour smell, unchanged texture and colour of plant fragments, and the absence of pollution by fungi. In 2010 fungi colonizing three types of silage have been identified, with particular emphasis on: Penicillium spp., Aspergillus spp. and Fusarium spp. These three fungi species are known to produce mycotoxins toxic to humans and animals. The analysed substrates were: grass silage, corncob- mix (CCM) silage and the whole crop corn silage. The fungi were isolated most abundantly from the CCM silage and their species composition was most diverse there. In all three types of silage the yeast-like fungi predominated. Aspergillus spp. and Penicillium spp. were isolated most frequently from the CCM silage, whereas they were isolated in small numbers from the grass silage and the whole crop corn silage. Other fungi: Alternaria alternata, Trichoderma polysporum, Cladosporium herbarum, Rhizopus nigricans, Mucor hiemalis, Monascus spp. were isolated sporadically. The fungi of the genus Fusarium were not found in the tested silages.
