The management of unusable areas and areas destroyed by the human activity, i.e. land unsuitable for forestry or agriculture, poses a serious problem. The author deals with the nature of natural and man-made unusable areas and focuses on trees and shrubs suitable for planting in waterlogged, muddy, dry and sandy areas as well on slopes.
