Paper defines applying of social marketing concept in the practice of food enterprises in Slovakia and connected benefits. Under review were activities of Public Relations (PR ) and its most used tools in condition of the Slovak Republic - event marketing, publicity and education. The reputation of company leads customers to the company when deciding about purchase. Public relations create the base for an economic growth of the company and its prosperity, as well as the ability to survive in the fierce competition, which are considered as the economic benefits resulting from the application of PR activities, in the practice of food enterprises. The survey showed that using of chosen PR tools - events, publicity and education, offer significant benefits to food enterprises. Social benefits resulting from implementation of PR in their practice could be taken as building and protecting reputation and awareness in the public eyes.

The topic of sustainability has taken center stage around the world and has driven the attention and focus of a growing number of powerful voices and interests around the world. Constantly increasing competitive and social tension forces companies to find new approaches in business behaviour. Increasing needs force companies to support these demands sustainably. Initiatives of corporate social responsibility (CSR) should be incorporated into strategy in every business entity. The purpose of this paper is to determine the importance of CSR and new marketing approaches through sustainable marketing in business activities. In order to fulfill defined objectives of the paper were collected and used primary and secondary sources of information, as well as the method of interview using a questionnaire (total number of respondents was 120 agrifood entities).
The aim of the research was to determine Slovak consumer's behaviour when purchasing and consuming bread and pastry. As a research method, was used a structured questionnaire consisting of 16 questions. The total number of respondents was 350 randomly selected respondents, from which were analyzed the answers of 291 respondents consuming bread and pastry. For a deeper analysis of the obtained results, there were set out assumptions, which have been tested with the use of Pearson's chi-square test and Cramer's contingency coefficient. As the results of the research show, the mostly preferred filling of pastries is the curd, jam and poppy filling, the preferred taste of salty bread is the crackling, corn and cheese taste, 61 % of respondents are in many cases in their purchase of bread and pastry influenced by the smell of fresh bread, 52 % of respondents need to catch the bread or pastry before their purchase, 44 % of respondents sometimes take in account the sound, which the bread makes when they are catching it, 53 % of respondents prefer the cake with more colours.

Last years entrepreneurs have started to feel the need of promotion their products and activities. Competition is high not just from abroad, but also in our country. In wine field customers can choose from many products and wine producers should try hard to survive. Using marketing tools is in this field as need as in any other businesses and without them there is not a big chance to be successful. Marketing tool is a mean of communication with a customer and a customer plays the most important role. Using the right marketing tools can make your brand special – different from the others. Doing marketing research helps companies to know their target group - customers that really buy or want to buy their products. Asking the right question in marketing research can help them to use the right marketing tools. In many cases it means to spend marketing budget the way that will truly communicate with their target group. Then there is just a short way to be successful – in our case in wine field.
The main objective of the submitted paper is to investigate the impact of emotional appeals used in advertisements of traditional soft drink Kofola on consumers. Kofola beverage advertising strategy is based on tradition, history and quality. Within the article the most successful advertising campaigns and commercials are characterized that provides a basis for the assessment of emotional appeals in Kofola advertising. Evaluation of the impact of advertising on consumers was based on the information obtained from a questionnaire survey on a random sample of 203 respondents in the select district. The questionnaire survey was focused on the analysis of relationships, attitudes, and consumer associations with successful advertising campaigns and TV spots of Kofola drink. The intention was also to determine the factors influencing consumer perception through statistical testing of the existence and the intensity of dependence of observed responses from consumers’ characteristics.
Despite the vast natural ressources in terms of area, agriculture has not been able to exploit its potential to its full extent, in spite of huge efforts and — in most countries — succesful developments, restructuring of agriculture and the food industries is still far from being finished- There is need to persuade more market elements into the agri-food proccessors. The key priorities of the Slovak agri-food sector have to be: market and trade policy, structure of agricultural enterprises, know-how and overtaking the experiences, monitoring, evalution and program control of modernisation and inovation, education of managers and economists.
