The authors argue with the criticisms presented in the first article and emphasise that the law on nature protection should be contemplated against a background of other laws concerning environmental protection, water law, protection of agricultural land and forested areas, laws on National Environmental Protection Inspectorate, and on forests. This law does not ignore changes in Poland. The development of local authorities is underway and designating gminas (local government units) to perform nature protection tasks of country-wide significance would be precocious. It was just the fear of a narrow understanding of gminas' interests which prompted early passing of this law. The authors also comment on concrete objections.
