The article presents plant communities of the projected nature reserve Matunin, which covers a fragment of a flood terrace of the River Odra valley and includes the Matunin oxbow lake (situated near Jelcz) and its surroundings: alluvial meadows, fields and patches of riverine shrubs and forests. Many interesting and rare plant communities, bound to oxbow lakes and riverine floodedareas, such as Trapetum natantis, Lemno minoris-Salvinietum natantis, Nupharo-Nymphaeetum albae, Rhamno-Cornetum sanguinei and Ficario-Ulmetum minoris have been found here.
The paper presents vascular plants and moss flora of the projected nature reserve Matunin, situated in a flood terrace of the River Odra valley. The research area is an oxbow lake called Matunin and its surroundings: alluvial meadows, fields and fragments of riverine shrubs and forests. A total of 15 taxa of mosses and 312 taxa of vascular plants were found, including 7 protected species and 28 species considered as rare or vanishing in both Lower Silesia and Opole Silesia. One species Trapa natans is rare and threatened in Poland and vanishing in Europe.

The paper contains a phytosociological description and evaluation of alluvial meadows of Cnidion dubii Bal.-Tul. 1966 at the Natura 2000 site “Łęgi Odrzańskie”, the middle Oder river valley, presented in relation to local water conditions and grassland management. Phytosociological data of the C. dubii alliance from Poland and the Czech Republic have also been presented.
A locality of Trapa natans L. (Trapaceae) has been found in the Odra oxbow lake near Zakrzów village in Lower Silesia (south-western Poland).
The research subject is the differentiation of plant communities and the preservation status of wet meadows of the Calthion palustris alliance at sites included in subsidy packages 4 and 5 of the agri-environmental scheme. The habitat was studied on 697 agri-environmental plots located in different areas of Poland. The obtained results show high differentiation of the plant communities, which could be considered as representative of the Calthion palustris alliance meadows in Poland. Disturbances in the habitat conditions were observed on most of the plots and they included: disappearance of characteristic species of the Calthion palustris alliance, encroachment of native, expansive species as well as desiccation of the habitat and the associated eutrophication, caused mostly by unidirectional land drainage systems. The study also attempted to determine the conservation prospects of the habitat considering measures implemented under the agri-environmental scheme.
