About the inherence of management of households we have only a few information, but without the investigation of the conduct strategy of households is hardly cognizable. One part of the rural society can be the analysis of rural households. The bared inherences can give the explanation for the behaviour of households, the planning possibilities of farming, the comparison of the future ideas and the reality. The theoretical d practical elaboration of farming is important for both the agricultural policy and households.
Family farms do their farming in a special natural (land, as the major resource of production) and economic environment (regulated agricultural market) compared to actors of other sectors. This fact has influence on their effectiveness and by this, also on their competitiveness. Based on the European pattern, family farms as a form of independent organizations, are being spread in Hungary, though they were not known in Hungary before. According to the basic concept, family farms should be suitable to provide the living for a family. We research in our study the special effects of the following household-features on the family farming activity: family workforce, capital goods, supply ol assets, age and family cycle, adaptability and flexibility, effectiveness, multifunctionality. Our analysis shows, household- based family farms cannot be compared to other enterprises of other sectors on the basis of economic rationality.
The present study, which compares and contrasts the tourism and visitor-based economic development at major lakes in Hungary aims at describing how roles have changed and opportunities have presented themselves in the lake tourism sector. In the western part of Central Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia) lake tourism has grown to be a leading tourism product since the 1960s. Hungary saw a boom in its lake tourism in the mid 1960s as leaders of its centralized, planned economy changed their stance on tourism in an effort to generate income and counterbalance the possible siphoning-off of western tourists by Romanian and Bulgarian seaside resorts. Lake Balaton, Lake Tisza and Lake Velence were the recipients of state investment and and emerged as the most popular lake tourism destinations.
