PL

Poruszono problematykę wpływu Światowej Organizacji Handlu na proces liberalizacji handlu artykułami rolno-żywnościowymi. W badaniach posłużono się wskaźnikami wsparcia i protekcji OECD. Wyniki badań wskazują, że poziom wsparcia sektora rolnego w krajach rozwiniętych wykazuje silniejszą tendencję spadkową w czasie trwania negocjacji nad kształtem przyszłego porozumienia, niż w okresie jego wdrażania.

This paper deals with the issue of the WTO impact on agricultural trade liberalization. The research is based on the set of the OECD support and protection measures. Results show, that the level of support for the agricultural sector in developed countries has been declining. This decline, however, seems to be stronger during the negotiation period than during the implementation period. The conclusion is, that although the WTO deals with some problems in reaching an agreement, it sill has a crucial impact on the process of agricultural trade liberalization.
