Na podstawie badań przedsiębiorstw polskich notowanych na Giełdzie Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie można sformułować następującą obserwację odnoszącą się do relacji internacjonalizacji i efektów finansowych: przedsiębiorstwa działające na rynkach zagranicznych mające wyższy stopień internacjonalizacji osiągają słabsze efekty finansowe niż podmioty mające niższy stopień internacjonalizacji (typ relacji M-P – liniowa negatywna).
