In 2008–2009 at Crop Production Department in WUELS field investigation were carried out and phytotoxicity of the tested herbicide was assessed. Maize and forage soybean were sown in pure culture and intercropped. Directly after sowing 3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1-methoxy-1-methylurea – linuron (900 g a.s. per ha) was applied. Phytotoxicity was assessed (as percentage of modified plants) 30 days after sowing (DAS). Weather conditions had high influence on linuron phytotoxicity. Intensive rainfall after sowing – 18 mm on sowing days, (64.1 mm during 21 days after sowing) significantly increased the number of soybean plants with necrosis or completely destroyed. Shallow soybean sowing method increased the percentage of deformed plants.
