PL

Praca jest krótkim przeglądem możliwości, jakie daje wykorzystanie ogrodnictwa jako jednego z narzędzi terapeutycznych. Terapia ogrodnicza to potwierdzona latami praktyki skuteczna forma terapii i rehabilitacji, stosowanej u osób z różnego rodzaju niepełnosprawnością. Pozwala na znoszenie barier i włączanie do aktywnego życia osób wykluczonych z niego. Hortiterapia stosowana jest w wielu krajach w szpitalach, domach opieki społecznej, hospicjach, ośrodkach terapii zajęciowej. Rodzaj prowadzonych zajęć i sposób urządzenia ogrodu muszą być dostosowane do potrzeb konkretnej grupy uczestników terapii ogrodniczej, a niekiedy nawet do ich indywidualnych możliwości. Ważne jest przede wszystkim zapewnienie dobrego dostępu do miejsc pracy, odpowiednie przystosowanie narzędzi pracy i dobranie rodzaju aktywności. Praca w ogrodzie umożliwia kontakt z naturą, ogranicza stres i agresję, zwiększa zdolności ruchowe, samodzielność i pewność siebie, uczy działania w grupie.

Paper briefly reviews the possibilities of gardening as one of the therapeutic tools. Horticultural therapy is an efficient method of therapy and rehabilitation applied to the people with different types of disabilities. Hortitherapy is applied in many countries in hospitals, social care houses, hospices, occupational therapy centers. Types of activity and garden design have to match the needs of clients participating in the therapy. They need available work places, especially adapted tools, and carefully chosen types of work. Work in the garden enables to have contact with the nature, reduces stress and aggression, improves the mobility, self-reliance and self-confidence, teaches group working.
