The research based on a greenhouse experiment was carried out in order to compare the effect of foliar application of phosphorus with added zinc or iron. Spring wheat, cv. Triso was grown in two soils of different physiochemical properties. Wheat was sprayed with two different mixtures: Ekolist P-phosphoric with Ekolist Mono Zn (6 : 1) and Ekolist P phosphoric with Ekolist Mono Fe (6 : 1). This treatment was repeated 3 times at different development stages: time of tillering (SW29), time of shooting (SW32) and time of earing (SW51). Foliar application of the mixture of phosphorus and Zn or the mixture with Fe caused a significant increase of spring wheat grain yield in comparison with the control object. The type of soil, in which the wheat was grown, did not have any influence on the quantity of grain yield, however the yield of straw was higher in plants grown on heavy soils as compared with plants grown in a very light soil. The addition of iron to Ekolist P-phosphoric caused an increase of phosphorus uptake by grain of wheat grown in both soils in comparison with objects fertilised with zinc. However, phosphorus uptake by straw was higher after the application of Ekolist P-phosphoric with added zinc.
