The purpose of this study was to analyse the market of green areas management companies in Poland, both in total and in individual provinces in the years 2001-2008, as well as to examine the relations resulting from the changes in income of Polish citizens and in number of the relevant service companies in Poland. Services related to green areas management have been the ones of best developing gardening types of services in Poland in the recent years. As based on current observations, it is possible to state that the increase in the number of service companies in the area of question is not a spontaneous economic phenomenon, but an actual reply to the growing needs of the society, broad interest and demand for that kind of services. Transformations occurring in the society and the economy, but first of all the growing standard of living of Poles are decisive factors in the development of this sector.
